There was a time not too long ago when Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau were public enemies.

In the Summer of 2021, in a pre-LIV Golf world, Brooks Koepka made zero efforts to mask his disdain for Bryson. He even told a story about how their ‘rivalry’ came to exist.

At that time, most of the golf world sided with Brooks Koepka in their rivalry. A reporter even called Bryson ‘Brooks’ in a press conference back in July, 2021, at a time when golf fans were heckling DeChambeau by calling him ‘Brooksy’ around the course.

Things got so bad for Bryson with the heckling that the PGA Tour intervened at one point and kicked a fan out for saying ‘great job, Brooksy.’

With that in mind, it is unclear if Brooks Koepka’s latest shirt on the course with Bryson DeChambeau qualifies as ‘workplace harassment’ or not. FSU’s finest and the reigning PGA Championship winner shared this picture alongside Bryson ahead of the Open Championship next week:

Golf fans loved it. How could they not?

One person commented “People forget that Dean Portman and Fulton Reed didn’t like each other at first either – look how that turned out.” Another commenter asked the question “Is this an example of bullying working?

Someone astutely pointed out how weird this all is. They wrote “Imagine showing this to someone 2 years ago” as a nod to how much the golf world has changed since these two were PGA Tour rivals.

Another person chimed in with “Roy Kent and Jamie Tart vibes.

Coming into the Open Championship next week at the Royal Liverpool Golf Course in Hoylake, England, Brooks and Bryson have to be feeling good. Brooks Koepka has +1200 odds which is 4th best in the field.

Bryson is +6000 but he finished -8 (t11) at LIV Golf London and in solo 2nd at -11 the week prior in the LIV Golf Invitational Andalucía. So Bryson’s running hot as well.
