Former Oregon Duck and current New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu may have blown fans minds (including Steph Curry’s) over the weekend when she set a three-point contest record, but there is another pretty good shooter out there prepping to take her on in 2024.

The reigning Naismith College Player of the Year, after taking some time to play some golf (another sport at which she excels), was back at it in the gym recently.

And what a gym it is – half indoor and half outdoor.

According to this video by the Des Moines Register, most shooting workouts for Caitlin Clark start with 300 shots: 100 3-point attempts, 100 mid-range shots and 100 free throws.

“After a thrilling but grueling season that featured constant attention at every turn, Iowa women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark cherishes these quiet offseason moments where getting better is the only objective,” the post reads.

“If Clark can drain around 230 of them, then that’s a good day. Every part of Clark’s offseason agenda is strategically planned,” it continues. “It’s how the best player in women’s basketball continues to get better amid an already memorable career that has one guaranteed chapter left.”

Not too shabby. 233 out of 300 (78%).

Ionescu recorded a mind-boggling 37 out of a possible 40 points in a single round at the WNBA All-Star Weekend, breaking Steph Curry’s record of 31 points, so Clark still has some work to do before the 2024 WNBA All-Star Weekend.

In the meantime, Caitlin Clark will just keep working and enjoying all of the benefits that come with being one of the most exciting basketball players in the country – male or female – like winning the ESPY for best women’s college athlete, being immortalized in butter and hanging out at Chicago Cubs games with her boyfriend, former Iowa Hawkeyes basketball player Connor McCaffery (son of Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball head coach Fran McCaffery).
