Tom Brady turned 40 years old in August, and while many people have been waiting for the QB to lose a step, he continues to be one of the most dominant (if not the most dominant) players in the NFL. The Patriots affirmed their faith in Brady after sending Jimmy Garoppolo to the 49ers at the trade deadline, and it’s clear the team expects him to be the franchise quarterback for at least a few more years.
Brady’s insane diet and work ethic are major factors in his continued success, but Cam Newton thinks there’s another explanation for his seemingly endless career. During a press conference, a reporter asked him if he’d still be able to run the ball like he currently does at Tom Brady’s age, and Newton floated the theory that Brady might actually be Benjamin Button in disguise:
“We just gotta get there. Brady is— how old is he? 40? He may be Benjamin Button. He looks like a GQ model. Golly, I see no gray… He sent me one of his books so I am reading up on that, trying to find the cheat codes.”
Brady might not actually be aging in reverse, but as this GIF proves, he is practically ageless.
