Wednesday night the NBA on TNT crew was in Milwaukee for the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Raptors and Bucks and they decided to quiz Charles Barkley on his knowledge of the city.

After Ernie stumped Chuck with some rather pedestrian questions like “What does Milwaukee mean?” and “What was invented in Milwaukee in 1867?” Ernie hit Barkley with the question, “When and where was this?”

And Charles was off to the races…

“That was the night I got arrested and did my Karate Kid impersonation… 1991,” Charles recalled.

“I took all my clothes off because I had these three guys who were trying to beat me up. I wanted them to think I was crazy. I did, I remembered The Karate Kid… these three weightlifters come up on me and I had to take my clothes off. I thought they were gonna think I was crazy because it was snowing too. So, I thought they were gonna think I was crazy and leave me alone.

“I was improvising, I’m like the Marines. But this one guy kept standing right in front of me. And I said, ‘wipe on, wipe off,’ and two guys backed off, then one fool’s standing right there. And I hit his ass as hard as I could. I broke his nose.

“No shirt. No shoes. No problem!”

And then Shaq went into the crowd to start a “Barkley sucks” chant.

Best. Studio show. Ever.
