On Saturday night, the football world was rocked after Adam Schefter dropped an absolute bomb and reported Andrew Luck would be announcing his retirement at the age of 29 following a career plagued by injuries.
Filed to ESPN: Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL, per source. There will be a press conference Sunday to make it official, but Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out.

While players around the NFL were quick to voice their support for the quarterback, the same couldn’t be said for the likes of O.J. Simpson and the Colts fans who decided the best course of action was to boo Luck for having the nerve to prioritize his health and well-being.

The Colts organization decided to respect Luck’s decision to call it quits by not going after the nearly $25 million he technically owes them by prematurely hanging up his cleats but it appears a chunk of the franchise’s fanbase isn’t so understanding.
On Monday morning, Zak Keefer of The Athletic revealed Indianapolis has been fielding calls from a number of people who are demanding the team refund their season tickets in the wake of Luck’s announcement because some people apparently don’t really understand how things work.
Probably no surprise, but fans calling Colts HQ today, demanding refunds for their season tickets.

I can certainly understand why some Colts fans would be pissed that they’ll now have to rely on the arm of Jacoby Brissett, who was at the helm of a 4-12 campaign after Luck was forced to miss the 2017 season with a shoulder injury.
With that said, I don’t really know how you can call yourself a true supporter of a team if you’re going to call it quits just because a star player decided to do the same thing.
Be better, Colts fans. Be better.
