Cooper Kupp was the MVP of Super Bowl LVI after finishing one of the best single-seasons in NFL history with a bang. Kupp had eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns, including what became the game-winner.

His incredible Sunday capped an incredible, consistent postseason.

In the First Round, the 28-year-old had five catches and a touchdown. In the Divisional Round, he had nine catches for 183 yards and a touchdowns. In the NFC Championship, he had 11 catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Kupp’s 33 catches in the postseason is an NFL Playoffs record and it came on the back of a remarkable regular season. He had 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2021.

All of this goes to say that Kupp is officially a household name and deservedly so.

But that wasn’t always the case.

When Kupp finished his senior year of high school, he was considered a 0-star recruit and did not have a single scholarship offer. Over the course of the recruiting period, he picked up offer from Idaho State and a half scholarship from Portland State, but ended up accepting an offer from Eastern Washington.

Kupp, a Washington-native, chose to stay in-state on the FCS level. Meanwhile, his wife, Anna, worked full-time to support his dreams.

She deserves as much recognition for his greatness as he does!

On the football field, Kupp was a beast. He quite a few records to this day.

Kupp quickly became the greatest wide receiver in FCS history …

… and he even made FBS defenses look ridiculous. In the 2015 season-opener against Oregon, Kupp caught 15 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns in a 61-42 loss at Autzen Stadium.

Over the course of his four-year career, he had 428 catches for 6,464 yards and 73 touchdowns. His highlight tape is an absolute treat.

Every single time that Kupp got the ball in his hands, he did something spectacular.

And he was an absolute menace in the playoffs with the Eagles, just as he was in 2021/22 with the Rams.

Kupp ended up being drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft and now he’s the Super Bowl MVP. It was both earned and well-deserved.
