Saturday night’s UFC fights were quite the roller coaster ride for fight fans. Between stellar brawls and retirement announcements, it was a sight to see.

However, UFC veteran Clay Guida faked his retirement to talk into the microphone. After the card, Dana White expressed how he felt about it.

Guida was taking his gloves off in the octagon. Typically when a fighter does that, it means they’re retiring.

For that reason, Daniel Cormier approached the veteran fighter to give him the mic to possibly announce his retirement.

Instead, he wanted to wish someone a happy birthday and exchange gloves with Rafa Garcia.

Dana White wasn’t happy about it one bit. He made sure to let Guida know how unhappy he was about the fake retirement announcement, per MMA Fighting.

It’s probably not a great idea to anger the boss like that. Regardless, Guida’s a true veteran of the sport as he’s still somehow fighting in the cage.

Even so, Dana White found it to be a huge waste of time. And he makes a great point. Couldn’t the glove exchange be a conversation between Guida and Garcia?

Do the fans really need to hear you say happy birthday to somebody? Especially after you lose your fight?

Dana White isn’t one to hold back, as he often calls out fighters on his roster. Especially when they dos something that rubs him the wrong way.

The UFC President basically sent a warning to the remainder of the roster after calling out Clay Guida. If you have something to say, make sure you win your fight.
