Deion Sanders celebrated his 56th birthday on Wednesday, three weeks ahead of the college football season. The Colorado head coach celebrated with both his team and significant other in a fun-filled day of festivities.

Sanders kicked off the celebration with a team meeting alongside his Buffaloes players. During that meeting, Coach Prime handed over the floor to team members as he watched his own personal roast, of sorts.

Colorado players took turns impersonating their coaching staff as Prime sat back and laughed. Take a look.

Maybe the best impersonation came from his son, Shiloh, who hilariously strolled up on a scooter. Prime seemed to enjoy the lighthearted roast, and later some birthday cake, though his focus soon turned back to football.

Sanders is getting ready for his first season in Boulder after three successful stints at Jackson State. It’s been an offseason of headlines as he looks to turn around a program coming off of a 1-11 campaign.

Colorado saw upwards of 60 players enter the transfer portal upon Sanders’ taking over the team, though he quickly filled those slots with a top-ranked transfer class.

His approach to roster management has ruffled feathers around the country, but it seems to be paying off according to one national championship winning coach.

We’ll soon see how talented the Buffs are when they take on national runner-up TCU in the season opener.

Later in the day, Coach Prime gave a surprise gift to partner Tracey Edmonds. That included a date, a delicious meal with her favorite dishes, and a musical performance at the Colorado facilities.

Edmonds noted that she wore the same dress for his birthday dinner as she did on the day she met him.

Tracey Edmonds is a businesswoman, television producer, and model according to her Wikipedia page. That site states that the former Extra host has been in a relationship with Deion Sanders since 2012.

She was also the executive producer on Deion’s Family Playbook, a reality television series that starred the Colorado coach.

It looked like quite the birthday for Deion Sanders. It’s now back to work as he preps for opening weekend.
