Donald Cerrone Says That Behind The Scenes Conor McGregor Is ‘Like A Scared Little Kid’

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has apparently now made it his mission in life to talk shit about Conor McGregor.

Earlier this week Cerrone was on Boomer and Carton when ripped into McGregor, saying McGregor “writes checks his ass can’t [cash]” and that the UFC protects Conor, “He doesn’t stand in line with the rest of us. They gotta take him away because we’ll just beat his ass.”

Then again on Thursday, talking to Sports Illustrated Cerrone once again dropped some serious smack on “The Notorious One.”

“It’s all an act, a big show.”

“We couldn’t hear what he was saying (at the press conference), he was just rambling and we were behind the speaker.”

“I just tune him out, because behind the scenes he is like a scared little kid. He hides from us. When they line us all up they take Conor and put him in another room because he can’t be around other fighters because we don’t play that shit.”

“(He is disliked) by all. By all. He’s not one of the fellas, he’s not a good dude. But he’s done a good job of promoting the sport and a good job making money so I can’t hate him for that.”

I’m not sure why Cerrone has become the mouthpiece for all things Conor McGregor this week, nor why he feels the need to rip him so much, but it certainly makes things more fun as we wait impatiently for UFC 205 on November 12th.

After all of this, the crazy press conference, and Eddie Alvarez’s comments about McGregor’s fanbase it ought to be one of the most hyped events of the year.
