Donald Trump is rumored to be attending the South Carolina-Clemson rivalry game on Saturday in the midst of his Presidential campaign. Reports have since been circulating, appearing to confirm his future presence in Williams-Brice Stadium.

Many believe there to be one key (and petty) reason in his choosing this particular game over the Thanksgiving holiday, and they can’t wait for the memes that are sure to come.

Presidential foe Nikki Haley is a Clemson grad. She’s often seen either in attendance at Tiger sporting events or showing her support in media appearances.

Haley served as the Governor of the Palmetto State from 2011-2017. She then held the title of US ambassador to the United Nations.

Now, sights are set on the presidency.

Donald Trump could provide the biggest threat on the Republican side of her campaign, and some believe this to be his way of jabbing his opponent.

Would he be that petty? Most seem to think so, and they’re bracing themselves for the soon-to-be memes flooding social media.

Check out the immediate online reaction from college football followers in the State of South Carolina.

“Trump doing Sandstorm and pulling for South Carolina at Williams Brice next weekend to spite Nikki Haley, a Clemson grad, is going to be hilarious.”

“A video of Trump doing Sandstorm will do numbers for the next 30 years.”

Trump being at the Carolina-Clemson game would be wild. If he’s the celebrity starter, oh boy. Trump during sandstorm? There are endless meme possibilities.”

The Gamecocks have become synonymous with the 90s techno hit “Sandstorm,” and they’ll fittingly have DJ Darude on campus for this weekend’s matchup with Kentucky to do a live performance.

Trump + Rave = Meme heaven.

This wouldn’t be Trump’s first interaction with the Clemson football program. He went viral in 2019 after feeding the Tigers’ national championship winning squad McDonald’s during their White House visit.

Of course, there could be drawbacks to his attendance, most notably a potential traffic nightmare around the stadium.

Reports state that he will be a guest of South Carolina’s current Governor, Henry McMaster, a USC grad. Get those cell phones ready if Trump does actually show.
