Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has stirred up controversy by suggesting that the condition of the field played a significant role in the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

During an appearance on the popular podcast “Pardon My Take,” Goedert expressed his belief that if the game had been played on turf instead of the subpar field they encountered, the outcome would have been different.

“If the field was better, and if we where playing on turf, I’m taking us 10 out of 10.”, Goedert said.

Goedert did not hold back in his criticism of the playing surface, specifically targeting “The Sodfather,” the individual responsible for the field’s maintenance.

He claimed that the turf was poorly prepared and insinuated that it was intentional, saying, “The Sodfather didn’t do a good job. But he knew what he was doing..”

The Eagles tight end also pointed out that numerous players experienced difficulties with footing throughout the game, suggesting that the poor field conditions influenced the outcome.

While Goedert acknowledged that both teams played on the same field, he emphasized the impact of the slippery surface, remarking, “There was a lot of people slipping, you can’t make that up.”

Despite the loss, he expressed hope that the Eagles would have the opportunity to return to the Super Bowl and play on a more favorable turf next year.

As the offseason progresses and preparations for the upcoming season take shape, the Eagles and their fans eagerly await the opportunity to redeem themselves and prove that they are a force to be reckoned with in the league.
