Nathan Gerry found himself in hot water on Thursday.
On Thursday afternoon fans dug up several old tweets from 2011/2012 made by Gerry where he used the n-word.

Gerry immediately faced backlash from fans who weren’t happy with his previous behavior.
As a black man, the comments of your employee @NathanGerry via Twitter are extremely insensitive and detrimental to the code of ethics you all have established as an organization. I will find it difficult to support you all if actions aren't taken. Thank you @Eagles

Gerry went on to apologize for the Tweets in a Twitter post.
The Eagles released a statement on the Gerry situation.
We were very disappointed to learn of Nate Gerry’s insensitive social media posts,” t “We do not condone or support that type of behavior in any way and we have discussed this matter with Nate privately. He understands that his actions were offensive and harmful and that the language he used is unacceptable.”
