The Philadelphia Eagles are on the hunt for help in their secondary as they face a slew of injuries leading up to the NFL trade deadline at the end of the month.

General Manager Howie Roseman and his front office team have been diligently exploring potential trade options across the NFL to bolster their defensive backfield, according to a report by Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Eagles’ secondary has been facing a revolving door of injuries, causing a lack of continuity for defensive coordinator Sean Desai.

In their recent 20-14 loss to the New York Jets, safety Reed Blankenship suffered a rib injury, newly acquired cornerback Bradley Roby was sidelined with a shoulder issue, and rookie Eli Ricks was hampered by a knee injury, per the report.

This unfortunate trend of injuries has persisted throughout the season, with every Week 1 starting defensive back missing at least one game due to injury. Additionally, two key starters, nickel cornerback Avonte Maddox (torn pectoral muscle) and safety Justin Evans (knee) are out of action.

Given the dire situation in the secondary, Howie Roseman and his staff have been leaving no stone unturned in their search for external assistance to shore up the defense.

The hunt for potential trade partners within the NFL has been on their agenda, although the report does not specify which players or teams might be involved.

A recent report from Sports Illustrated said that the Panthers might be willing to part ways with safety Jeremy Chinn and cornerback Donte Jackson, presenting the Eagles with a potential avenue to address their defensive woes.

Who will the Eagles end up signing to fix their secondary? whoever it is, Howie will probably get a steal of a deal for him.
