ESPN SportsCenter anchor Elle Duncan loudly stated on her own show that she firmly believes that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift aren’t really dating and called it a “stunt.”

Between the casual way Travis Kelce told Patrick Mahomes that Taylor Swift was coming to the game to his strange comments on hos podcast with his brother, there are many fans of both the NFL as well as the singer that think the whole thing is just some sort of PR stunt.

“It’s a stunt! It’s a stunt!” Duncan shouted on her show. “And there was nothing more clear that it was a stunt than watching them leave the arena together.”

“He looked nervous. He looked like he had zero game,” Duncan continued. “It was the most platonic walk of all time. That’s all I kept thinking when they were walking by — platonic. That’s all I kept thinking when they were walking by – pllllaaattonnniicc.

“He’s never touched that woman. They’re not dating. This is a stunt.”

Elle Duncan did walk back her earlier take that Travis Kelce didn’t even know Taylor Swift.

“Okay, maybe he does. Apparently, he does,” Duncan acquiesced before circling back.

“They’re not dating. The most private pop star we’ve ever seen in terms of celebrities,” she continued, seemingly forgetting Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston.

“We never find out who she’s dating until she writes about them years later. And I’m supposed to believe that she’s got a real thing brewing after what I saw on Sunday? Lies! No! No. I will die on this hill. They are not dating.”

So, is Elle Duncan right? Are Kelce and Swift pulling off some massive PR stunt or is it more just them doing it for the lulz after a report spread that they were “quietly hanging out” after he tried and failed to Swift a friendship bracelet when he attended one of her Eras Tour shows?

It’s not like either of them need money or more fans, so what else do they have to gain other than entertaining themselves and having a little fun.

Maybe it’s a collaboration between the NFL and its broadcasting partner Amazon Prime Video to get more viewers for Kelce?

Oh, right… there is also the possibility that they could actually be dating… Nah.
