With the NFL Draft just over a month away, schools around the country are hosting Pro Days to showcase their draft prospects. Usually, these events just provide players with an opportunity to show off for scouts on their home turf. Unfortunately, one Pro Day today took an unfortunate turn.

The University of Michigan hosted their Pro Day today and it was one that scouts were sure to be watching intently. The University of Michigan has a couple of first round prospects and will surely have more players getting looked at throughout the draft.

During pass rush drills, one of those first round prospects was injured. David Ojabo went down during drills with what appeared to be a lower body injury.

Ojabo was expected to be a guaranteed first round pick and has even been projected as high as being picked 7th by the Giants in a mock draft.

Ojabo shot up draft boards this season in just his first year getting major playing time. He had one career tackle in college coming into the 2021 season, but put up a monster junior season. Ojabo contributed 11 sacks, good for a tie for 11th in the nation, and 5 forced fumbles, which was tied for 3rd, for a playoff-bound Michigan Wolverines team.

There is no word yet on the extent of the injury, but hopefully Ojabo avoided anything too serious and won’t see his draft stock or rookie season impacted by it.
