College Football rivalries never die even when the players get drafted to the NFL. Case in point, veteran NFL kicker Graham Gano who used to play for Bobby Bowden’s FSU trolled his New York Giants teammate, Dexter Lawrence, who played for the Clemson Tigers.

The #5 ranked Florida State Seminoles didn’t hold the lead for a second of regulation time. Clemson jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game and the Tigers were 81-1 under Dabo Swinney when holding a 10-point lead in a game. Florida State tied it up with a 56-yard fumble return TD in the 3rd quarter and then won the game with a 24-yard pass from Jordan Travis to Keon Coleman (who has been a STAR this season) to win the game.

After the Seminoles snapped their 7-game losing streak against Clemson, former ‘Noles kicker Graham Gano trolled teammate Dexter Lawrence by rigging up a device to play the Seminoles ‘Warchant’ in his locker. ‘Dexie’ then had to do the ‘Tomahawk Chop’ as part of their rivalry bet.

Graham Gano, who I went to FSU with way back when, shared video of him trolling his Clemson teammate that was then shared by Matt Connolly of on3.

Dexter Lawrence, who recently signed a 4-year / $90 million contract extension, played alone. He joked “I hate you Graham, I hate you” while laughing.

Not for nothing, I’m personally very glad to see Graham Gano is still a starting FG kicker in the NFL. College feels like a lifetime ago and our time at FSU overlapped. I vaguely recall having a drink with him at an FSU alumni event in D.C. when he was with Washington right after college and remember him being a nice guy to everyone there.

There’s that old viral tweet that floats around with the caption “You: ‘I’m only 35, I have my whole life ahead of me.’ Sports broadcaster: ‘Here comes the oldest player in the league. He’s 32. A miracle.'”

Graham Gano is 36, he’s the starting FG kicker for the Giants, he’s made a 57-yarder this season, he’s 4-4 on extra points, and FSU beat Clemson.

Life is good for Graham Gano.
