Brian Flores dropped a bombshell on the NFL this week. He is suing the league for alleged discriminatory practices. In his lawsuit, Flores also alleged that Miami Dolphins owner, Stephen Ross, offered him 100k per game to lose as the Dolphins tried to get themselves a top pick to find their quarterback of the future.

After Flores’ allegations were made public, Hue Jackson came forward in a series of Twitter replies and alleged he went through something similar with the Cleveland Browns.

Now, Jackson has changed his tune on the accusations. Yesterday, he told CNN that he wasn’t ever actually offered money to lose football games.

“No, I was never offered money like Brian [Flores] had mentioned. I think this is a totally different situation but has some similarities.”

He then described some vague plan that could very well have just been a team rebuilding.

“When you talk about incentivizing a four-year plan that led to the team not being able to play as well, that people benefited off of that — that’s different. But at the same time, it has some of the same similarities to it.”

This is all starting to sound a whole lot like what Jimmy Haslam told the world this week. Hue Jackson just won’t accept responsibility for doing his job poorly.

The Browns didn’t need to offer him money to lose football games because he could do that on his own. Then, they went ahead and continued to give him chances even after leading the Browns to the league’s worst record two years in a row. It seems like if the Browns really wanted to keep losing, they’d have just let Jackson finish the 2018 season.
