Breaking: Hulk Hogan Just Cashed In, Awarded $115 Million In Sex Tape Case

Do you hear that? If you’re legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, it’s the sound of lots and lots and LOTS of money pouring into your bank account, because, per TMZ, a jury just awarded him $115 million in his lawsuit against Gawker.

Hogan, whose legal name is Terry Bollea, sued the news site Gawker for publishing nearly two minutes of a video that was recorded while he had sex with a friend’s wife in 2007, with the wrestler alleging that he had no idea that he was being recorded and that the site invaded his privacy.

Initially suing for $100 million, the jury found it to be too little based on the case, awarding Bollea with $55 million in economic injuries and $60 million for emotional distress—with a potential for even more based off of punitive damages.

The Hulkster has bodyslammed many opponents in his days, but this is the biggest whale he has ever pinned because, DAMN!!!

As you might imagine, the Internet is already having fun with the news, with Gawker’s Wikipedia page already updated accordingly:

More details to come as we get them.
