Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson Mahomes is back in the news for his May arrest which led to him being charged with three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery and one misdemeanor count of battery.

Jackson Mahomes was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting Aspens Restaurant and Bar Lounge in Overland Park, Aspen Vaughn. Video of the incident appeared to corroborate her assault claims. He was also accused of pushing a waiter at the restaurant.

In March, Mahomes’ lawyer, despite the video evidence, disputed Vaughn’s allegations, telling CBS News, “Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process and look forward to a swift resolution of the matter.”

Shortly after being arrested and released on a $100,000 bond, Jackson Mahomes appeared in court and requested bond modification so he could talk to friends he was barred from speaking to after he was charged.

Now, five months after his arrest, Jackson Mahomes was back in court, sort of, this time via a Zoom call.

During his court appearance on Tuesday, Johnson County Judge Thomas Sutherland postponed the preliminary hearing for his case. It will now be held on Jan. 3, 2024.

Jackson’s lawyer Brandan Davies had only asked for a 30 day continuance, but, according to RadarOnline.com, scheduling conflicts pushed the hearing into next year.

Davies also requested during the conference that Mahomes be released from pretrial supervision and drug testing.

“I think somewhere around 10 [tests] have come back clean,” Davies said to the judge.

“Judge, there is, we’ve had information that would indicate that he has been having contact with someone he’s not supposed to be having contact with and we still think he needs to be monitored,” prosecutor Megan Ahsens responded.

“I don’t think that the defense is going to want me to say some of the things I need to say, so if we can do this via email, that would be great. I think the court will understand my objection.”

Jackson Mahomes was last seen on TV sharing a suite at Arrowhead Stadium with his sister-in-law Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift, causing much concern for many Swifties.
