Jackson Mahomes, younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was arrested on May 2n d and charged with 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery and 1 count of battery.

Jackson Mahomes was then released on a $100,000 bond that came with the condition “that the defendant not discuss the case” with any of the four witnesses who also happen to be his friends.

At the end of last week, according to Kansas City’s KSHB 41 news, Jackson Mahomes’ legal team requested to modify the terms of his $100,000 bond and enable Jackson Mahomes to have contact with his friends, who are witnesses.

The logic is sound, for modifying the terms of the bond. Court documents said the four friends and Jackson Mahomes had “been in contact with the defendant before and after the allegations were made in February of 2023.”

The KSHB 41 report also says the legal team for Jackson “provided contact information for the four witnesses/friends and encouraged them to be contacted during the investigation.”

Conversely, it is not difficult to understand why the opposition would not want Jackson Mahomes to have contact with his 4 friends who are listed as witnesses in his aggravated sexual battery case.

Jackson is due in court today, Thursday, May 11th, for a preliminary court hearing according to KSHB 41.

It remains to be seen if there will be a media circus surrounding this case. Jackson was heckled while leaving jail following his arrest last week and he is a popular celebrity on social media.

The younger Mahomes brother has 258,000+ followers on Instagram, 36K on Twitter, and 1.1 million followers on TikTok where he rose to fame for his polarizing dances.
