It took close to a year, but Jackson Mahomes has finally learned his fate following the conclusion of the criminal case he found himself at the center of after being charged with assault at a restaurant outside of Kansas City last year.

Plenty of attention has been paid to the family of Patrick Mahomes since he emerged as the most electric quarterback in the NFL.

His wife Brittany has attracted a fair amount of scrutiny since being thrust into the public eye, while younger brother Jackson Mahomes rubbed plenty of people the wrong way for shamelessly attempting to ride his more famous sibling’s coattails to TikTok fame.

However, Jackson took a lengthy social media hiatus in 2023 when he was hit with multiple criminal charges due to what allegedly unfolded during an incident at Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, a now-shuttered eating establishment located in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park.

Jackson was initially charged with aggravated sexual battery after he was accused of forcibly kissing the 40-year-old owner of the restaurant (who shut it down over the summer after experiencing a sharp decline in sales due to the attention the case attracted). However, prosecutors dropped the charge in January after she informed them she no longer intended to cooperate.

The 23-year-old was still facing a misdemeanor battery charge after shoving another employee in the restaurant on the same night. According to The Kansas City Star, he formally pled “no contest” on Thursday (which means he didn’t admit guilt but was willing to accept the punishment handed out by the court) and was subsequently sentenced to six months of probation.

Jackson isn’t the only member of the family who’s found themselves facing legal issues, as Patrick Mahomes Sr. is currently facing up to 10 years in prison after being hit with his third DUI charge at the beginning of February.
