Jaguars cornerback Chris Claybrooks found himself in legal trouble once again as he was arrested on Friday for a domestic violence incident, according to a report by News4JAX.

The arrest, which occurred around 4:30 p.m. ET, led to Claybrooks being booked into the Duval County Jail.

He now faces charges of misdemeanor domestic battery and felony false imprisonment. However, specific details regarding the incident have not been fully disclosed as of now.

The court proceedings have been scheduled for Saturday, where Claybrooks is expected to appear to address the charges brought against him.

Upon learning about the arrest, the Jacksonville Jaguars released a statement acknowledging the situation: “We are aware of the arrest of Chris Claybrooks and are currently in the process of gathering information. We will have no further comment at this time,”

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Claybrooks has faced legal issues related to domestic violence.

Back on April 15, he was arrested in Nashville and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury and vandalism under $1,000.

The previous incident involved Claybrooks allegedly grabbing a cell phone from a woman’s hand and subsequently damaging it by throwing it to the ground. As a result, the woman suffered bruises and abrasions to her hand, as stated in the affidavit.

Given his prior legal entanglement in connection with domestic violence, this recent arrest is likely to draw significant attention and scrutiny.
