Video Of Jake Paul And Anderson Silva Chumming It Up Has Fans Concerned Their Upcoming Fight Is Fixed

Anderson Silva is one of the UFC’s all-time greatest fighters. In fact, dating back to his time in Pride, Silva is one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time.

Which is why it may be surprising to some that he’s coming out of retirement for a boxing match with YouTube megastar Jake Paul. Even more surprising is the fact that Paul is a -185 favorite according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Paul and Silva made the fight in September and are now set to square off on Saturday night in Glendale, Arizona.

Thus continues a series of fights for Paul against other YouTube stars, former NBA players and former UFC fighters. The former Disney channel star boasts wins over Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, Nate Robinson and AnEsonGib. He’s 5-0 in his boxing career with four of those wins coming via knockout.

But Silva represents a far sterner test on paper. Sure, Silva is a UFC legend. But he’s also by far the most renowned striker that Paul has ever faced. Silva has a 3-1 professional boxing record, including a 2021 victory over former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

However, some fans are skeptical that the fight may be fixed. A recent video of Silva and Paul together has only fueled that fire.

Fans Are Crying Foul Over Video Of Jake Paul And Anderson Silva Ahead Of Fight

Silva and Paul have both done a good amount of promotion for Saturday’s fight. One of the things that they each did recently is a dance battle for Paul’s company Most Valuable Promotions.

The chumminess between the two didn’t sit well with MMA or boxing fans. The prevailing concern seems to be that Silva could be planning to take a dive against Paul.

Paul’s boxing “career” hinges on him continuing to beat fighters that people would expect him to lose to. So it’s no surprise to these allegations pop up again.

But proving the allegations true is going to be difficult.
