Cincinnati WR Ja’Marr Chase has piqued the interest of Bengals fans by teasing the idea of a reunion with former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson. The pass catcher posted a series of messages on X, hyping those in Cincy up!

Chase and Jefferson were both a part of the LSU national title winning squad that also boasted Bengals’ signal caller Joe Burrow. That prolific offensive group went a perfect 15-0 while setting a bevy of NCAA records in Baton Rouge.

Each of those three superstars was taken with a first-round selection, with Burrow going No. 1 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, followed by Jefferson at No. 22.

Chase came out in the 2021 class, going fifth overall.

And each has continued that on-field dominance upon entering the NFL.

Burrow was the league’s Comeback Player of the Year in ’21, with his teammate Chase winning Rookie of the Year honors as the Bengals advanced all the way to the Super Bowl.

Jefferson, meanwhile, was named AP Offensive Player of the Year the following season after racking up a league-leading 1,809 receiving yards.

Could the talented trio be destined to team up yet again?

Ja’Marr Chase has Bengals fans thinking they’ll add Justin Jefferson.

Jefferson, who’s in line for a major salary bump with his next deal, just lost his starting QB with Kirk Cousins on his way to Atlanta. The Vikings picked up Sam Darnold as a replacement, but at the moment, the team is looking at a major downgrade at the position.

Darnold doesn’t seem to be Jefferson’s top option, giving many around the league reason to believe he’d be happier elsewhere.

That speculation only grew with a recent tweet from Chase.

When Bengals fans began to ask if a potential Jefferson addition had anything to do with the post, Chase only fanned the flames.

“@JJettas2, please answer these people, they think I’m calling the shots. What are you doing, yo??” he replied to one particular follower having a miniature meltdown about the idea of Jefferson in Cincinnati.

Is Jefferson parting ways with Minnesota to reunite with old teammates? We need answers!
