Each year, the folks at People compile a list of the guys in contention for the title of “Sexiest Man Alive,” the incredibly prestigious award that was ultimately bestowed upon Patrick Dempsey in 2023. However, Jason Kelce popped up on the list of finalists—although he was the first person to admit his brother probably deserved it more than he did.

While Dempsey may have earned the right to appear on the cover of the “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, Jason Kelce managed to earn a spot among the list of finalists that were featured in their very own photoshoot (the other “nominees” included Pedro Pascal, Timothée Chalamet, Usher, Jamie Foxx, and Lenny Kravitz).

I think most people who appreciate the “Lumberjack Chic” aesthetic would agree Jason is a handsome dude, but with that said, it does seem like his brother Travis Kelce might have the edge on him when you consider he’s currently romantically linked to Taylor Swift.

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles center essentially acknowledged that sentiment during an appearance on 94 WIP where he got the chance to address the nod, saying “I’m not even the sexiest man in my family, let alone the sexiest man alive. I mean, what are we talking about here?”

He admitted he was nonetheless happy to receive the honor, adding, “It’s fun. The publicity around the family has gone to a totally different level, but that was funny to see for sure…Hey, it’s not bad.”

Travis can take some solace in knowing he received a consolation prize in the form of the fan vote, as readers named him the “Sexiest Athlete” over Lewis Hamilton, Joe Burrow, and Shohei Ohtani.

As the magazine notes, it’s pretty likely he was the beneficiary of some ballot stuffing from Swifties, but hey, a win’s a win.
