The New York Jets have strengthened their defensive depth by signing veteran defensive back Dane Cruikshank, formerly of the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears.

The 28-year-old player was a key contributor on special teams during his tenure with the Titans from 2018 to 2021. However, his defensive role expanded significantly in 2021, where he participated in 414 snaps compared to just 58 snaps in the previous three years combined.

Dane Cruikshank entered the league in 2018 as a 5th round pick by the Titans, showcasing his potential and versatility as a special teamer.

In 2022, Cruikshank joined the Chicago Bears and played in 8 games while continuing to make an impact on special teams. Throughout his career, Cruikshank has participated in 52 games, recording 66 tackles, 2 passes defended, and one interception.

Notably, Cruikshank has amassed 950 career snaps on special teams and 473 on defense, demonstrating his value as a dynamic and reliable player on both fronts.
