Jimmy Fallon Tried Slamming His Hot Dog And Beer At The Rangers Game, Failed In Spectacular Fashion

• While on the jumbotron, he attempted to rapidly down his hot dog and beer and failed, badly, at doing both.

There was one winner and two losers after the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New York Rangers 3-1 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final Thursday night. The second loser was Jimmy Fallon’s shirt.

With the series tied up at two and returning to New York, a handful of celebrities were in attendance, including The Tonight Show host.

The New York native was on hand to support his hometown team in their battle against the reigning Stanley Cup champions and even, at one point, made an appearance on the jumbotron at one point during the game.

As the camera zoomed in him, Fallon attempted to slam his hot dog and beer, failing at both and basically ending up wearing them rather than actually consuming them.

While dipping his hot dog in his beer was a smart move, that’s what the pros would do, Fallon obviously is very much the amateur when it comes to this sort of thing. Unless he was going for some kind of Stone Cold Steve Austin effect, where he ends up wearing 99% of the beer he attempts to chug, it was, all in all, a spectacular fail.

Much like when other famous folks like Aaron Rodgers, Adam Schefter, and several Yankees sluggers have tried and failed at chugging their beers on the big screen at a sporting event, Jimmy Fallon became the butt of many jokes on social media following his terrible attempt.

The Lightning are now up 3 games to 2 in the series after losing the first two games and get to head home for Game 6 with a chance to advance to the the Stanley Cup Final for the third year in a row. (Which they better do or else there will be a whole lot of very upset Justin Bieber fans.)
