Over the weekend it was revealed that Johnny Manziel was headed back to Texas A&M to take some college courses.
After leaving college early to pursue a career in the NFL Manziel still needs several credits to finish his degree in recreation, parks and tourism sciences.
Funny, I thought leaving college early to play in the NFL was how he was planning on making a solid living, but we all know how that turned out. So yeah, Manziel is now back in college.
As for why Manziel has decided to return to school here’s that he had to say to his besties over at TMZ…
“I’m trying to get back to my roots. I need to get my degree like I told my parents I would,” Manziel told us.
Hmmm… the last time we heard any news related to Manziel and his parents, he and his dad weren’t exactly seeing eye to eye. In fact, his pop basically disowned him and Johnny didn’t seem to give a flying fuck about it.
So excuse my skepticism for why he’s back in college. Unless there has been some sort of reconcilation, which would be nice, I’m not 100% sold on this reason.
Still, I suppose there’s always hope that this “comeback” he claims he’s making is actually on the right track. Lord knows we’d rather see him on the football field than in the tabloids any day of the week. Fingers crossed.
