Former Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel took to social media to praise now fired Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher. Then, in his next post, he offered up his services to help the football program “in any capacity.”

Fisher was let go with $77.5 million left on his contract (which he will be paid) following a 51-10 win over Mississippi State on Saturday.

The program, after going 34-14 in Fisher’s first four years, has fallen off and gone just 11-11 over the past two seasons.

Aggies athletic director Ross Bjork said he decided to make the move because he felt the “program is stuck in neutral.”

Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy award winner, did not play for Jimbo Fisher, but he did spend a lot of time around the program over the past several years and expressed on Monday just how much he appreciated it.

“Been sitting on this for a couple days but I have to say it,” Manziel wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“In my experiences Jimbo Fisher allowed me to immerse myself in the @AggieFootball program from the very first day on the job.

“I thank you for allowing me to spend time in the building with the guys and treating me with the utmost respect. Thank you for all that you’ve done for our university. Wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors Coach. #GigEm.”

Less than 10 minutes later, Johnny Football threw his hat in the ring, offering up his services to assist in rebuilding the Aggies’ football program.

“I have faith in the @TAMU leadership to put somebody in place to get us to where we need to be,” he wrote. “The pieces for success are in the building.

“However I can help in any capacity I would love nothing more.”

Perhaps he can assist by making sure none of the Aggies’ players run into any trouble while frequenting Johnny Manziel’s Money Bar, which he opened back in August in College Station.

That, or…
