Jordon Hudson is making tons of noise in her new role as Bill Belichick’s sidekick. Her actions in the offseason have largely been a distraction as North Carolina looks ahead to Year 1 under its new head coach.
Email spats, interview behavior, and her on-field presence during Tar Heels spring practice have all raised concern. Her use of a Taylor Swift strategy in reference to Bill Belichick trademarks should’ve been a red flag.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Hudson had filed for numerous trademarks, some of which are owned by Robert Kraft. In those instances, she made sure to add (Bill’s Version) at the end of each phrase.

The strategy was a copycat of Taylor Swift’s, as she famously rerecorded old songs when her discography was purchased by Scooter Braun. Hudson believes Belichick’s situation is similar.
Yes, the Patriots own the trademarks, but without Bill Belichick, they never would’ve come into existence. A day after filing, she curiously posted the Swift tune “Look What You Made Me Do” on Instagram, which is widely believed to be a jab at Braun. The same song was used on Tuesday as she went after her most recent critics.
Jordon Hudson has been a distraction for North Carolina.
The trademarks are just the beginning. She began ruffling feathers almost immediately upon stepping foot on campus.
Her role with the Tar Heels football program was questioned after Bill Belichick instructed that she be on all email communication involving the coach. Those concerns only grew due to over-involvement in the team’s spring practice sessions earlier this month.
Some of those previously mentioned emails have come to light given North Carolina’s status as a public university. Those conversations showed Hudson demanding Belichick’s online haters be blocked, particularly those taking aim at their relationship.
The drama exploded in a recent CBS interview which was meant to be used as a promotion for Belichick’s book. Hudson’s off-camera antics quickly became the storyline.
Through it all, Jordon Hudson has brushed aside the criticism to champion her 73-year-old boyfriend and justify their dating history. For many in Chapel Hill, it’s taken the focus off of football. Hopefully, this doesn’t end badly for the Tar Heels. All signs point to it being a very real possibility, though!
