Josh Hart Explains Why He Decided To Post Infamous Breast Milk Tweet

There were plenty of factors that lured people to Twitter when the platform first started to take off, but one of the biggest draws was the chance to (virtually) interact with celebrities who used the platform to treat the world to some fairly unfiltered thoughts.

Some of those musings have come back to bite plenty of athletes who’ve failed to scrub some controversial tweets that they posted before they were thrust into the spotlight, although there are more than a few high-profile figures who don’t seem particularly concerned about their internet past coming back to haunt them.

Of course, Twitter is still a breeding ground for big names who’ve inadvertently ended up becoming its Main Character for not thinking things all the way through before deciding to hit “Send”—including Josh Hart, who managed to cause a bit of a stir when he posed a question about drinking breast milk to his followers at the end of May.

It was a pretty innocuous query in the grand scheme of things, but that didn’t stop plenty of people from responding with variations of “Bruh” after seeing it come across their feed.

Now, we’ve gotten some insight into exactly what led to that fateful tweet courtesy of an interview Hart conducted with Taylor Rooks earlier this week.

The duo chatted about a number of topics during a conversation that eventually turned to the Breast Milk Tweet, and Hart shed some light on the story behind it.

Here’s what he had to say:

“So, 85% of new dads at least wonder what breast milk tastes like.

We had family over that day and they asked me and they were like, ‘Have you tried it?” and I’m like, ‘No, I haven’t tried it,’ but if I ever do, I want the whole charade; I want to be burped, I want to be cradled, I want everything.

Somehow, I got finessed into doing a blind tasting. So we had almond milk, a creamer, and breast milk. I tried it, obviously, and it was like vanilla-flavored almond milk. That’s how it tasted.

I literally took the blindfold off after I tasted it. I’m like, ‘Damn, this is actually, like, not bad. It doesn’t taste bad.’ I just knew because it tasted the best out of all of them.

So then I was just like, ‘F*** it, I’m just going to tweet it and see what people think.”

According to a study conducted in the United Kingdom, Hart is in the minority here, as only 25% of men in London said they had done the same.
