Diego Pavia offered words of encouragement to Julian Lewis prior to the college football game between Colorado and Utah. However, the Buffaloes’ backup quarterback still did not seem thrilled to watch the team succeed without him.
His body language appeared to show his discontent with the current situation.
I would not be surprised if Lewis enters the college football transfer portal. Maybe Pavia will push him toward Vanderbilt?
Diego Pavia streamed live on Twitch from Colorado.
Diego Pavia did not get drafted into the NFL. The reigning Heisman Trophy runner-up signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens at the end of April but he was cut by the organization at the end of July.
Although he could sign with the CFL or wait until the spring and play in the UNFL, it does not appear as though he will continue to pursue a career in professional football. The 24-year-old began his new career as an ‘In Real Life’ streamer on Twitch by searching for his wife at a college football game in Albuquerque at the beginning of October.
Pavia also pulled up to Boulder over the weekend.
Deion Sanders even set him up with a sideline pass.
He went live during a tour of the Colorado facility on Saturday morning, spent a few hours live betting on games around the country before kickoff, and went live from the sideline during the actual game. Here is a full video recap:
As of this writing, Pavia’s streams totaled more than 17,000 views on Saturday. Unfortunately, he did not get to witness a win. Utah went up 13-0 at halftime. Colorado could not rally back and lost its fourth game of the season by a final score of 27-24.
Julian Lewis’ body language went viral for all of the wrong reasons.
Coach Prime decided to make a change at quarterback after after a loss to Baylor in Week 4. The fourth-year head coach swapped out Julian Lewis for Isaac Wilson. Lewis’ aunt publicly shamed the decision to bench her nephew for Zach Wilson’s little brother. The backup quarterback also does not seem thrilled with his current role.
Diego Pavia went up to Lewis during pregame and told him to keep his head up. It looked like he was in good spirits.

His body language changed during the second half after running back DeKalon Taylor scored a touchdown during the third quarter. The Buffaloes got back within four points of the Utes.

All of Lewis’ teammates were happy for Taylor. He did not show any emotion and did not congratulate him.

Colorado has five or six different media entities that film the football program at all times so I was not able to identify the original source of either video. I can only go off of what was posted to social media. I did not see a high-five. I did not see a smile.
Based on the video that is available, Julian Lewis looked checked out. He showed a clear lack of pride for his teammate while his team battled back from an early deficit without him. Start the rumor mill. His entry into the transfer portal seems inevitable.
