Justice Haynes is slated to be the starting running back for the University of Alabama in 2024. He and Jam Miller are expected to split carries during Kalen DeBoer’s first season as head coach.

The Southeastern Conference is on notice. Haynes is going to be a monster.

Although Nick Saban tried to get him some touches last year, there simply weren’t enough carries to go around and he finished with only 25. However, the 5-foot-11, 205-pound back averaged 6.7 yards per touch! It is an absolute joy to watch Haynes run the ball.

Now, with Jase McClellan off to the NFL and Rodell Williams off to Florida State, there is no one in his way. DeBoer is going to feed the former five-star recruit as often as possible.

Haynes first went viral for being absolutely jacked on his official visit to Tuscaloosa in April of 2022. If you did not know that he was a senior in high school, you would not know that he was a senior in high school.

The Crimson Tide later received Justice Haynes’ commitment over Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs— much to the surprise of Saban. He enrolled early, got on campus in January of 2023, and immediately turned heads during spring ball.

His limited in-season performance was equally as impressive.

Haynes is set to takeover the backfield. Video of the rising sophomore’s offseason workouts will live in the nightmares of SEC defenders for the next seven months until they get on the field.

Someone as compact and powerful as Haynes is not supposed to be that shifty or quick-footed. Rarely do running backs possess the ability to run through a linebacker and sprint past a safety.

Justice Haynes can do both. Alabama’s soon-to-be starting running back is headed to the league. It’s a matter of how many yards he amasses before then.
