When Kansas City takes the field at Allegiant Stadium for Super Bowl LVIII, they will be surrounded by fan support as Chiefs Kingdom travels west to Las Vegas. As will San Francisco.

That part of the equation is irrelevant. Both teams will have fans in the stands.

However, only the Chiefs will receive support from below. They have a leg-up on the 49ers in terms of mojo. Allegedly.

Allegiant Stadium officially opened in 2020. Construction began on the current home of the Raiders in late 2017. At that time, a fan of their AFC West rivals decided to take things up a notch.

To do so, he supposedly hid a ‘Chiefs Kingdom’ flag under the dirt at the approximate location of the 50-yard-line. Concrete was then poured on top of the dirt. The stadium was built up from there.

If the story is true, a Kansas City flag is currently buried under the 50-yard-line.

Now, we don’t know for sure that the flag was actually buried, but the construction worker who claimed to do so received significant backlash— so if it wasn’t true, it was not worth the headache. Deadpool Raider also claimed to have dug it up, though that seems super unlikely.

As far as we know, there is a Chiefs flag under Allegiant Stadium. Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the rest will have the good juju under their feet during the Big Game. It was meant to be.

Little did the construction worker know, he buried a flag at the stadium in which his team will play for its second-straight Super Bowl. How cool would it be if he is at the game?!

If Kansas City’s smart, the organization will find the Las Vegas-based construction worker from 2017 and get him a ticket. He deserves to be there.
