Keegan Bradley has spent more than a decade grinding on the PGA Tour, and while he’s far from a household name, he’s become increasingly hard to ignore thanks to what he’s been able to achieve over the course of the current season after losing 30 pounds with the help of a meat-centric diet.

The 37-year-old Vermont native currently occupies the fifth spot in the FedEx Cup rankings during a campaign where he’s secured five Top 10 finishes and a couple of tournament victories, including a three-stroke win at the Travelers Championship earlier this month.

Bradley’s triumph at TPC River Highlands allowed him to leap 10 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings, and while the $3.6 million check he received for besting the rest of the field was probably the highlight of the weekend, he also earned the right to add some hardware to his trophy case in the form of the cup presented to the champion.

After the initial celebration died down, Bradley confirmed he’s a card-carrying New Englander by popping open a can of Sam Adams Boston Lager, which was what he presumably chugged out of the trophy while The Dropkick Murphys blared in the background.

In the video, Bradley asked an official for permission to take the Travelers Championship trophy with him for the night, and while he got the green light, it appears he didn’t realize he was supposed to return it; the cup that’s handed out is supposed to remain in Connecticut, as organizers present the winner with a replica.

On Tuesday, Bradley acknowledged his accidental heist after arriving in Detroit for the Rocket Mortgage Classic with the trophy in tow in a video where he sent a humorous message to the people behind the event with the help of a clip of Ben Affleck in The Town.

Well played.
