Students at the University of Kentucky were fired up after their college football team pulled a top-10 upset win over Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon. Fire is the key word here.

Lexington went up in flames shortly after the clock hit zero in Mississippi!

Well, technically speaking, it is just a few pallets of wood and a whole bunch of furniture. The rest of the city remains in tact. Don’t worry.

The Wildcats went on the road as 15.5-point underdogs. They had not won in Oxford since 1978.

On the flip side, the Rebels were ranked as the No. 6 team in the country with legitimate national title hopes. Lane Kiffin assembled the best roster in school history and the first game of conference play was not supposed to be one of the potential speed bumps on the road to the College Football Playoff.

In the end, it was perhaps the biggest speed bump.

Ole Miss missed a 48-yard field goal attempt as time expired to lose a game it did not expect to lose. Kentucky pulled out its highest-ranked win of the Mark Stoops era.

Rebels fans were devastated.

Wildcats fans were thrilled. Even those who did not make the road trip made sure to celebrate as if they were there.

State Street, which houses a large number of Kentucky students, is a focal point for postgame parties. However, they are typically reserved for big wins on the hardwood. Not on Saturday!

The celebration started with a small fire that burned various wood structures and pallets.

It quickly escalated to a full-blown bonfire with the addition of a couch.

Other furniture was piled on top as more and more students arrived to the scene with offerings.

The celebration was well-deserved. Kentucky pulled a massive top-10 upset on the gridiron!
