The most recent NBA season was dominated by speculation about where some of the biggest names in the league were going to end up when free agency rolled around and all eyes turned to Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant once the finals wrapped up.

None of those players would ultimately return to the team they played for last year, as Davis would ultimately join forces with LeBron James in Los Angeles while Irving and Durant decided to team up in Brooklyn.

With that said, all of them found themselves caught up in some drama when it came to their departures.

It wasn’t really a secret that The Brow wasn’t thrilled about playing in New Orleans and there were plenty of reports out of Boston that suggested Irving didn’t exactly get along with his teammates.

Durant’s case was more uncertain, as the Warriors seemed to at least be in contention to retain him despite the many rumors about Durant expressing interest in various teams around the league. However, after he announced his decision, we were treated to a steady stream of information that suggested he wasn’t very content in the Bay Area.

Now, it looks like we have more proof Durant didn’t vibe with the Warriors courtesy of Yahoo’s Chris Haynes, who chatted with Colin Cowherd on Thursday and revealed the superstar basically stopped talking to virtually everyone on the team:

“There was a point with Kevin Durant when he just stopped talking to his teammates. He was really on an island and didn’t have somebody that he was close with on that team.

The only person he was close with was Quinn Cook, because they’re from the same area. But Quinn is a younger guy that doesn’t have much clout within the franchise.”

Haynes claimed Durant stopped engaging shortly after getting into it with Draymond Green in November, saying:

“After the Draymond stuff went down and then the New York Knicks chatter started going haywire, Durant just stopped talking.

He felt like if he said something, it would give a lot of credence to people saying he’s only thinking about free agency. You would see Durant leaving the arena by himself and entering the arena by himself and really not speaking to anyone.”

Here’s to hoping he and Kyrie get along a little better.
