The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the New Orleans Pelicans 113-103 in ‘The Land’ on Monday. NOLA’s Larry Nance Jr. was on the court for 15 minutes and put up 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Cleveland’s Kevin Love had similar numbers. Love was on the court for 16 minutes and tallied 4 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kevin Love also gave his former teammate Larry Nance Jr. a hearty slap on the butt that Nance was none too pleased about.

Richard Jefferson shared the clip on Instagram with a ref’s whistle in his mouth. Larry Nance Jr’s reaction was great. His face to the ref was giving ‘blow the whistle’ vibes but he also looks like he’s trying not to laugh:

Larry Nance Jr. joked in the comments on Richard Jefferson’s post and wrote “I need someone to call HR… This is harassment.” Another person wrote “KLove trying to tell him to come back to Cleveland.”

Someone else in the comments wrote “I ASSume K-Love was just complimenting Nance on his ASSist from the previous play… maybe reporters will Assk him about it after the game.”

Larry Nance Jr. and Kevin Love played together on the Cleveland Cavaliers squad for 4 seasons from the 2017-2018 season through the 2020-21 season. I can’t say for certain they are friends but they know each other well which is probably why Kevin Love felt so comfortable playing a little game of ‘Slap-Ass’.

A legendary Key & Peele sketch comes to live mid-game. Who could’ve seen that coming? Should we take this as a sign from the universe that Key & Peele are reuniting?
