Knox Kiffin is going to be one of the top quarterback prospects in the college football recruiting Class of 2028. His arm is live!
The son of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin dropped an absolute bomb during a recent workout in the greater Los Angeles area.
Kiffin, the youngest of Lane and Layla’s three children, is currently wrapping up his freshman year of high school at Palos Verdes High School in the greater Los Angeles area. He will soon move south to Mississippi to join his dad and older sister in Oxford. The reunion is not only great for the entire family, it is great for the young signal-caller’s development both on and off of the field.
First and foremost, Oxford is a consistent state title contender in high school football. Knox Kiffin will presumably start for the Chargers against some of the best competition in the Southeast at a school that produced NFL talent like D.K. Metcalf and J.J. Pegues. He will also learn a new offense!
The move also allows Knox to be closer to Lane. That will give him the chance to be around the Ole Miss program more often than summers and holiday/spring breaks. Lane learned the game from his dad, Monte. Knox is going to have the same opportunity. He’ll be able to watch film with one of the top coaching staffs in college football, observe practice, and work alongside college athletes. Pretty cool.
In terms of talent, Knox Kiffin is beyond his years. Recruiting sites list him at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds but I would guess that he is closer to 6’2, 175 or even 180.
Regardless of his size, Knox can really spin it! He recently put in some work with quarterback development coach Johnathan Reyes and uncorked a deep ball that would drop jaws on any level.

I understand that throwing against air in a t-shirt is completely different than throwing against a defense in pads, but we celebrate NFL Draft prospects for their Pro Days and this is the same idea. Knox let it rip!
As things currently stand, the lone son of Lane Kiffin holds five scholarship offers. Mississippi College was his very first offer. SMU was his first offer on the Division-I level after he dropped a dime at a recruiting camp in Dallas. Arkansas State, Sacramento State and Western Kentucky also offered.
However, it seems to me like Oregon is where he ultimately wants to be. Lane often tags Dan Lanning on Instagram. Knox made a few trips to Eugene over the last few years. We’ll see!
