Kool-Aid McKinstry made headlines on Wednesday with some custom jewelry worn at SEC Media Days. The Alabama defensive back donned an iced-out diamond chain equipped with a Kool-Aid man emblem.

The chain also boasted his No. 1, giving the perfect complement to his diamond watch as he wowed attendees in Nashville.

Former SEC player turned analyst Cole Cubelic posted a photo of the piece on Twitter.

McKinstry was asked about the chain while speaking with the media.

“It means a lot to me,” he said. “The Kool-Aid man means a lot to me. The ‘G’ that he’s holding. It also has my number. All those things rolled into one, it means a lot to me. It represents me.”

Fans were quick to comment on the piece.

One person said, “He’s putting that NIL money to good use.”

Someone else wrote, “The little Kool-Aid Man is incredible.”

This fan hilariously posted, “Oh yeah!” referencing the Kool-Aid man’s catch phrase.

McKinstry isn’t the only player making noise at media day events. Over at Big XII Media Days last week, Kansas QB Jalon Daniels sported a diamond chain that played his own personal highlight reel.

As far as the Alabama DB goes, though, he’s expected to be a first-round pick come the 2024 NFL Draft. Maybe we’ll see a Kool-Aid themed suit on draft night.
