Minnesota Twins infielder Kyle Farmer has gone through it thus far in the 2024 MLB season. At the plate, he’s hitting just .067 while racking up four times as many strikeouts at hits.

To turn things around, he’s resorted to bizarre behavior in hopes that an odd yet efficient slump busting habit will bring success. In doing so, he’s cut his laundry time in half!

Farmer has been to the dish 53 times so far this year for the Twins. In those appearances, he’s walked six times and been hit by two pitches, giving him 45 official at-bats in the ’24 campaign.

Those bases on balls are about the only way the righty’s found the basepaths.

Kyle Farmer has just three hits in those 45 trips, posting an average well below the Mendoza line. He’s recorded a double and two singles while having struck out 13 times.

Those results have him looking for answers.

It was recently revealed that he’s been showering in full uniform over the last few days as a slump busting technique.

“No one is more frustrated than he is,” the broadcast team said during Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox. “He has showered in his uniform. He has worn his sliders inside-out. He’s changed his socks everyday… He has done anything and everything he can think of in order to get rid of that bad juju.”

Showering and laundry at the same time? Genius!

Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked to this point. Over his last four games, he’s 0-14 with six strikeouts. He did not record an at-bat on Thursday versus Chicago, but if things continue to go poorly, he’s already got his next slump buster on the brain.

Kyle Farmer said he’s willing to shave his head should the hits fail to come, as he continues to search for some sort of good luck. Hopefully, it doesn’t get to that point!
