Since the Luka Doncic trade on Groundhog Day, things just keep going wrong for the Dallas Mavericks. They can’t stay healthy, as the frontcourt, including the newly-acquired Anthony Davis, has been decimated by injuries.
That terrible luck continued on Monday, as Kyrie Irving left the game with an injury. Teammate Anthony Davis was there to give him a helping hand.
Despite the injuries, the Mavericks have stayed afloat since the trade, and are actually a game over .500 since the deal. That’s impressive, considering their top-three frontcourt players in Davis, Dereck Lively, and Daniel Gafford are out with injuries. A big reason why they’ve been able to stay in the playoff picture is because Kyrie Irving has been fantastic.
The Mavs took on the Sacramento Kings on Monday, and Kyrie Irving suffered a leg injury, and Anthony Davis helped him to the foul line to take two foul shots before Irving left the game. Take a look.
Here is the Kyrie Irving Knee injury video…
I don’t like the way his left knee buckles and hyperextends

-Worst case scenario: ACL tear pic.twitter.com/HHOXo8Pv5e

Kyrie Irving was clearly in pain with a leg injury but refused to leave the court before he shot two free throws — similar to his mentor Kobe Bryant.
Anthony Davis was among those who helped Irving off the court and into the locker room.

Scary scenes all around for Kyrie Irving. Let’s hope that it’s just a bone bruise or hyperextension and not something far more serious. It’s great to see Anthony Davis, who has only been on the team for a month, helping out a teammate like that. Hopefully Davis can return from his abdominal injury soon.
