The LA Lakers Are Reportedly Not Interested In Signing LiAngelo Ball After Pre-Draft Workout

LaVar Ball’s dream of having all three OF HIS sons play for the Lakers does not appear to be panning out the way he would like. According to a report from NY Times’ Marc Stein, Ball failed to impress the Lakers during his pre-draft workout with the team.

A dribble of draft scuttle for those interested: The Lakers had LiAngelo Ball in for a well-chronicled workout this week but there is pessimism in the extreme coming out of L.A. today that the Lakers have any intentions for him … G-League or otherwise

Stein’s report has been corroborated by several other NBA reporters around the league.

Earlier this year, LiAngelo’s father, LaVar, said that he would force Lonzo to leave once his rookie contract is over if the Lakers didn’t sign Gelo this year.

“I want all my three boys to play for the Lakers. But if that does not happen, I’m telling you the story what’s gonna happen first. If they don’t take Gelo this year, I bring back Gelo here (Prienai in Lithuania) to play with Melo for two years. Lonzo will be on his third year and I want to let every NBA team know, that Lonzo is not going to re-sign with the Lakers but will go to any team that will take all of my three boys. That’s my plan.

We’re going to have to wait and see if LaVar will follow through on his promise.
