A recent LeBron James clip has summed up the last few seasons for the Lakers perfectly. In the now viral video, the Los Angeles star is seen falling, flipping, and flailing all over the court.

While he’s giving effort, he’s always a bit too slow, ending up in the wrong place at the absolute wrong time.

This has been the epitome of the Los Angeles organization of late, as they can’t seem to get out of their own way. Every move they make is the wrong one, and just when they believe they’ve put together a championship roster, they fall flat on their faces.

Here’s the LeBron clip from the Lakers’ recent matchup against the Hornets.

In the video, James is seen missing a jump shot then scurrying to retrieve his rebound. Instead, he’s beat to the ball by a Charlotte player then hilariously flies into the front row, flipping over a fan sitting courtside.

That motor keeps running, though, and LeBron quickly gets back down the court to join the Lakers’ defense. Immediately, he whiffs on an attempt to steal the basketball with his momentum carrying him towards a teammate. Legs get tangled and James again falls to the floor as the Hornets cap off the series with a three-ball.

You can look back on this quick clip as an embodiment of a recent spiral in LA. They’re always trying to build but never getting off the ground.

Whether it’s Los Angeles seemingly outsmarting itself by taking Russell Westbrook over DeMar DeRozan, or the team entering the 2021 season as a title favorite before missing the playoffs completely, things seem to go south in the City of Angels no matter which move they make.

The struggles have continued in 2022 as the LeBron and the Lakers are just 13-20 and in danger of missing the postseason, once again. Based on what we’ve seen of late, the blunders are sure to continue.
