6-Foot-8 New Orleans Transfer Rejects ‘Master P’ As Mom Lobbies For Texas A&M Roster Spot

His mom quickly marketed that decision on social media. It seems she already has a place in mind for his next destination.

Coleman made 10 starts with the Privateers while appearing in 26 games. He averaged 5.2 points per night on 54.6% shooting. Rather than return for his sophomore season, he’s opted to test the transfer waters.

The 6-foot-8 youngster’s brother is Henry Coleman III, who just wrapped up his final season with Texas A&M. The Aggies would make for a logical landing spot if interested.

Cynthia Coleman, the forward’s mom, added flames to the TAMU fire on Monday. She reposted his transfer announcement while responding to pro-Aggie replies in the comments section.

Cynthia Coleman previously made headlines when she shamed now-fired Texas coach Rodney Terry for his postgame celebration following a win over the Aggies. She’s continued to support her sons in their college basketball journeys.

Henry Coleman also fanned the Texas A&M speculation. Will it happen? Time will tell. Either way, Leland Coleman does NOT plan to play for New Orleans next year.

Leland Coleman is rejecting Master P with his transfer decision.

The music mogul recently accepted a role as president of basketball operations. That announcement came with the program being linked to a federal sports betting investigation.

Master P is hoping to battle through those offseason tribulations while helping the Privateers turn around their misfortunes. His role will be largely tied to roster management and NIL fundraising.

Leland Coleman rejected any NIL offers Percy Miller and the Privateers tried to piece together. They couldn’t convince him to stick around in NOLA.

It will be interesting to follow the forward’s transfer story. We’ll see if Buzz Williams answers the family’s pleas to make him an Aggie.
