Lionel Messi and his wife have purchased a new mansion in South Florida for a reported $10.75 million and it comes with every luxurious amenity the greatest soccer player of all time deserves.

The home is located in the gated community of Bay Colony which is situated on the northern side of Ft. Lauderdale. Lionel Messi‘s sprawling new mansion is located at the end of a cul-de-sac which affords even more privacy from the street level of the gated community. It is, however, located on the waterway which sees countless boats passing by every day as the property is between Port Everglades in Lauderdale and Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano.

According to the Zillow listing, the home was previously sold for $9 million on May 2, 2022. Less than 16 months later the home has now reportedly been sold to the Messi family for $10.75 million, marking an appreciation in value of $109,375 every single month since it last changed hands.

Lionel Messi’s new mansion is very conveniently located to his job. It is only a 4.6 mile (15min) drive from his home to DRV PNK Stadium where FC Miami plays their games.

Messi’s mansion has a whopping 170-feet of waterfront space. There are 2 docks on the property should he want to stock up on boats.

The master bedroom/suite boasts a whopping 1600 sqft. Ceilings reach up to 27′ high. There is also an executive office, captain’s suite, VIP suite, and the lot sits on 19,000 sq ft.

The Messi Family’s new Ft. Lauderdale mansion has was designed by Lori Morris and has previously been featured in Florida Design Magazine. It features a gym, movie theater, and dual showers so large (in at least one room) you could do yoga inside.

With an estimated net worth of around $600 million, career earnings of over $1.2 billion, and an annual income estimated MLS compensation package around $150 million there is truly not much that Lionel Messi can afford so it’s nice to see him scooping up this mansion and enjoying the fruits of his labor.
