LSU Fans Showed Up And Showed Early With Crude Chant Ahead Of Showdown With Tennessee

The LSU Tigers began the 2022 college football season in embarrassing fashion with a brutal Week 1 one loss against Florida State. Since then, however, the Tigers have begun to right the ship under first-year coach Brian Kelly.

LSU has won four straight games and moved back into the AP Top 25 poll at No. 25. Kelly doubled down on that success recently as well, making a massive donation to the school’s athletic fund.

But Saturday marks the first true test for the Tigers since the loss to Florida State. LSU welcomes to undefeated and eighth-ranked Tennesee to Death Valley for a top-25 showdown. The Volunteers, led by star quarterback Hendon Hooker, are off to their best start in years and already have two ranked wins to their credit.

But there’s perhaps no atmosphere in the country quite like the one they’re about to walk into at Tiger Stadium.

Don’t believe us, check out this video of a packed LSU student section at 10 a.m. this morning ahead of a noon kick.

LSU Fans Sing Crude “Neck” Chant Well Before Showdown With Tennesee

That would be thousands of LSU students swaying and singing along as the Golden Band from Tigerland plays its oft-criticize song “neck.” The song includes an interlude where students fill in with the rather crude chant “suck that Tiger d–k, b***h!”

The university actually banned both the song and chant in 2010, but that ban just led to a modified version of the song based on the Dem Franchize Boyz song “Talkin’ Out Da Side Of Ya Neck.

Following its re-emergence, the chant has since become legendary. LSU fans and band members played it all over Bourbon Street in 2020 before their national title win.

And now it appears that Tennesee players will have to hear it all day long in Baton Rouge.
