Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals Game 3 Chicago Bulls jersey, seen by millions in The Last Dance, is going up for auction. Pharrell’s JOOPITER will auction the jersey, one of several that Jordan wore when he won his sixth and final title with the Bulls.

According to JOOPITER, only four game-winning jerseys from the 1998 NBA Finals exist, and this is the only white game-winning jersey from the series that has been made available to the public.

The 1998 NBA Finals Game 3 Michael Jordan jersey, which features the famous 1998 NBA Finals patch, carries a pre-sale price estimate of up to $15 million. Bidding will begin on Sept. 15th and run through Sept. 29.

“JOOPITER is proud to offer the jersey Michael Jordan wore in Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals—the closing chapter of a dynasty that claimed six championships in eight seasons and transformed basketball into a global cultural force,” the jersey’s listing reads. “Immortalized as The Last Dance, Jordan’s final season with the Chicago Bulls has transcended sport to become a touchstone recognized around the world. Played on June 7, 1998 at the United Center, Game 3 marked a turning point in the series. The win shifted the series decisively toward Chicago’s sixth and final championship.

“Only four game-winning jerseys exist from the 1998 Finals, and this may be the only opportunity to acquire one from the most celebrated season in basketball history. Defined by rarity, provenance, and cultural significance, it stands among the most important pieces of sports memorabilia ever to come to market.”

Michael Jordan already owned the record for game-worn memorabilia once

Michael Jordan’s Game 1 Chicago Bulls jersey ‌from the 1998 NBA Finals previously held the record for the highest price ever for game-worn memorabilia. It sold for $10.1 million in 2022. Babe Ruth’s 1932 World Series “called shot” jersey broke MJ’s record when it sold for $24.12 million in 2024.

“‘The Last Dance’ represents really one of the defining chapters in the history of all sports, not just basketball,” Caitlin Donovan, Joopiter’s global head of sales, told The Athletic. “It’s really more than just the conclusion of (Jordan’s) career with the Bulls, it really marked the culmination of one of the greatest dynasties that I feel was ever assembled.”

Earlier this week, a signed, game-worn pair of New Balance “Ohtani 1” shoes from the Los Angeles Dodgers star’s 2025 Tokyo Series opener sold for $440,055. It set a new public-auction record for baseball footwear. It shattered the previous mark of $93,000, which belonged to, wait for it… Michael Jordan’s signed Birmingham Barons cleats from the 1994 baseball season.
