Mikey Gow is the most interesting high school football quarterback in the Class of 2025. There is still a long way to go in his recruitment, but he already has interest from multiple Power Five programs and his stock is only continues to rise.

Gow is not like the other quarterbacks in his class, who throw with their left or right hand. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior throws with his left and right hand.

Mike Gow is an ambidextrous quarterback.

Gow’s ability to sling it with both arms first turned heads in the spring of 2022 when he went viral on TikTok. Lamar Jackson even chimed in and projected him as the future “#1 Overall pick.”

Now, more than 18 months later, Gow is in his first season as the starting quarterback at Mustang High School in Oklahoma. He transferred from Bellevue East in Nebraska to Allen High School in Texas back in January, and then left the Lone Star State for the Sooner State in June.

His head coach, Lee Blankenship, is thrilled to have him. The Mustang Broncos (which presents a hilarious dichotomy in name) are 3-0 this season by a combined score of 118-83.

Gow’s arms are a big piece of the Broncos’ early success. Mustang’s offense is simply out-scoring opponents and Gow’s highlight tape from the first three games is impressive.

The ambidextrous component of his game is still developing, but it gives him a unique advantage.

Gow is a righty. His right arm is his primary arm. His left arm is just supplementary!

However, if Gow can incorporate his left arm into games, it provides defenses with a difficult challenge. Being able to throw with both arms opens up additional throwing lanes.

If one is blocked, the other is open.

There is a contingency of haters who might think that Gow’s ambidextrousness is a gimmick. It’s not.

Gow is a righty, with the ability to throw lefty. His ambidextrousness puts him one step ahead of the defense.

Ambidextrous or not, Gow can spin it and college football programs are taking notice! Cincinnati, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas State, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Texas are among the schools that have showed interest in the Class of 2025 quarterback.

Wouldn’t it be cool to see Gow throw a touchdown with both arms on the collegiate level? It’s never been done, intentionally, before!
