The New York Jets are currently in a state of disarray. They just missed the NFL playoffs for the 14th consecutive season. They have no head coach or general manager, and their players seem to be looking for a way out of New York. So you can understand if Jets fans are a little on edge these days.
It certainly doesn’t help that the Jets have conducted a series of mind-numbing interviews for both the head coach and general manager openings. On Friday morning, they conducted another one of those interviews, and this one seemed to send several Jets fans crashing over the edge.
We have completed an interview with Mike Greenberg for our General Manager position.

New York Jets Fans Mistake One Mike Greenberg For Another Mike Greenberg
New York reported on its social media accounts and team website that it had conducted an official interview with Mike Greenberg for its vacant GM position. Fans, believing this to be the same Mike Greenberg who is a staple on ESPN and a massive Jets fan, quickly berated the organization.

There’s just one problem. This isn’t that Mike Greenberg. This Mike Greenberg is an extremely accomplished young executive who has spent the last 15 years working his way up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization. Greenberg, the executive, first joined Tampa Bay as a player personnel assistant in 2010. He currently serves as the team’s assistant general manager and played a key role in bringing the team a Super Bowl victory in 201.
Now, it’s entirely plausible that the Jets would interview that Mike Greenberg. After all, they interviewed current ESPN employees Rex Ryan and Louis Riddick. But that’s not what happened here. For once, they seem to be headed down a smart path. Whether they continue down that path, however, remains to be seen. If they do, then ESPN Mike Greenberg should have a lot to look forward to in the future.
